A new project for the development of pan-European Scenarios is
going to be prepared right now. Several regions have been selected as
examples for scenarios building, one of them is the Black Sea region.
The following specific
objectives could be identified for the Black sea region (Ukraine,
Russia) in the SCENES project:
-
to develop a methodology for water scenarios building and
test it at hot spot areas taking into account possible options for
reform processes in water and land management (storylines)
-
to support reforms in water management by dissemination of
knowledge, rising awareness and involving stakeholders in scenarios
building to select the best options for water management transfer
(irrigation and drainage infrastructure transfer to water users,
creation of local public and private organizations for water
management and etc.)
-
to develop technology for optimization structure of
water use by different sectors within river basins
-
to develop water management systems for implementation
of IWRM on different spatial levels
More details
